What is Nosebleed?

A nosebleed happens when small blood vessels inside the nose break, often due to dry air, nose picking, blowing the nose hard, minor injury, or irritation from a cold. Most nosebleeds are minor and can be managed easily at home.

Nosebleeds are more common in children and older adults, and can also be linked to certain medications, such as blood thinners, or underlying conditions affecting blood clotting or blood pressure.
