What is Bunions?

A bunion is a bony bump that forms at the base of the big toe, caused by a gradual shift in the joint that pushes the big toe toward the other toes. This can lead to pain, swelling, and difficulty fitting into certain shoes, and tends to worsen slowly over time without treatment.

Bunions are influenced by genetics, foot shape, and footwear choices, and while they can't be reversed without surgery, many people manage symptoms well with supportive footwear and other conservative measures.
